Pauline Plagnat is a development economist. She received her Ph.D. in Development Studies from the IHEID (University Institute of International Studies and Development) for a thesis entitled: Sustainable Development in South Korea: Rapid Growth and Globalization. She regularly collaborates in the courses on development with the University of Neuchâtel (master of sociology), Lausanne (geography, sociology, EPFL) as well as with Iheid.
Pauline Plagnat co-edited a collective book on Governance games: looks and reflections on a concept, Karthala-IUED, Paris, 2007. Her research fields are mainly in South Korea (and more widely on South Asia East) but also in Africa (Mali), and recently in Europe (indicators of territorial cohesion)
